WHS Assistant Scheduler and SIS Coordinator

            

Reports To: Master Scheduler Administrator

 

Position Summary:

The Assistant to the WHS Scheduler and SIS Coordinator will support the scheduling and student information system (SIS) processes at Westside High School. This role provides essential administrative and technical support, ensuring the smooth operation of the modular schedule and accurate data management within PowerSchool. The assistant will collaborate with staff, troubleshoot system issues, and assist with ongoing schedule updates, reporting, and data integrity.

 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the creation, maintenance, and continuous updating of the high school’s modular schedule.
  • Support the coordination and processing of schedule-related documents, including grades, transcripts, and student information.
  • Help ensure data accuracy within the PowerSchool SIS by performing data entry, corrections, and validation checks.
  • Assist in investigating and testing new PowerSchool scheduling features and provide input for system improvements.
  • Troubleshoot basic operational and software issues, escalating problems to appropriate technical support when necessary.
  • Maintain organized records of scheduling materials and related data for accurate historical reference and reporting.
  • Provide administrative support to the Scheduler and SIS Coordinator, including preparing communications, reports, and written documentation.
  • Assist in training staff members on SIS usage and established protocols.

Qualifications:
  • Associate's degree or equivalent experience required; Bachelors degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
  • Proficiency with technology and software applications, especially data management and information systems (PowerSchool experience preferred).
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to work collaboratively with staff and stakeholders.
  • Ability to troubleshoot technical issues and problem-solve independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing environments and demands within the school’s operational schedule.
