POSITION TITLE: Custodial Manager - District Wide
DESCRIPTION: Custodial Manager - Full Time - 12 months per year ~ Exempt
Supervised By: Director of Facilities
Education: High School diploma or equivalent
Experience: Five years in Custodial Management Preferred

Hours: 2:45 p.m. to 11:15 p.m. Monday - Friday
Salary: $48,000 to $53,000; Commensurate with Experience
Summary
Assist management in maintaining/improving cleanliness through inspections, training, and employee accountability, including employee counseling, in a multi-location environment. Supervisors should have the capability to build upon established relationships and help develop subordinates on a continuous basis while maintaining productivity.
Qualifications
Must be physically able to lift, lower, push and pull objects up to 75 lbs. unassisted. Ability to stand, climb, bend, stoop and crouch for extended periods of time. Must be able to initiate and maintain good customer and co-worker relationships in a team environment. Must have a valid Driver's License (CDL is a plus). Must have the ability to follow oral or written instructions and directions. Must have effective written and verbal communication skills. Bi-lingual preferred (English and Spanish). Must have previous supervisory experience, demonstrated "quality customer service" skills, and good human relations skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct and document regular inspections for work quality and safety. Make necessary corrections.
- Assist in the completion of regular employee performance evaluations and annual employee performance ratings.
- Assist in the onboarding and continuous training of custodial staff.
- Understand all employee work assignments and schedule for adequate coverage.
- Collaborate with the Facilities Coordinator, Manager of Custodial Services and custodial staff persons to coordinate services for paid/unpaid rentals while demonstrating excellent customer service..
- Maintain effective professional relationships with custodial staff and district employees.
- Enforce department policies, follow-up on daily assignments, and conduct counseling or disciplinary action.
- Ensure all cleaning challenges are communicated effectively for resolution.
- Control supply inventories and distribute equipment effectively.
- Adequately account for custodial equipment and facilitate repairs.
- Evaluate equipment performance and make necessary corrections.
- Observe and report the need of furniture or other building fixtures repairs.
- In case of emergency, assist the Emergency Operations Team.
- Complete other duties as assigned.
