POSITION TITLE:  Full-Time Driver

DEPARTMENT:  Nutrition Services (Contract Meal Services)

                         Hours:  Full-Time:  7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Job Summary:  The Utility Person/Driver will help in the kitchen, deliver food and/or beverages to off-site locations, set up and serve catered events, and wash dishes and put away supplies after events.

Job Responsibilities:

Multiple tasks include but are not limited to:

• Driving food-sensitive deliveries of both non-prepared food goods, as well as hot and cold prepared food product to locations within a specified timed allotted
• Good time management skills
• Cleaning of kitchen and equipment as required
• Ability to work with school staff, students and community
• Self-directed and managed
• Other duties as may be assigned
• Loading, unloading, driving cargo van or box truck
• Serving catered events
• Completing general kitchen duties as assigned by chef

Qualifications:

• Strong work ethic
• Ability to communicate well with others
• Ability to take direction
• Valid driver’s license
• Good driving record

Preferred:  Experience in restaurant, school kitchen or catering environment

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift 40 pounds
• Ability to stand on feet to perform job responsibilities
• Ability to bend and reach to load and unload van or truck
• Ability to pass WorkFit physical evaluation

Note: Background checks are required in the hiring process.
