Position Summary:
Physical Education / Swimming Teacher / Aquatics Director ~ Westside High School
Responsible for planning, assessment and implementation of instruction in the approved District curriculum for the assigned content area.
This position teaches Swimming 1, Swimming 2, Swimming 3, Lifeguarding and Water Safety Instruction. This teacher also has Introduction to Health Science in the fall and Advanced Health Science in the spring. An additional supervision of the Adaptive Swimming class for students with special needs is also part of the current assignment. The Adaptive class is in the pool two times per week for 80 minutes each time.
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required. Must possess at all times during employment a valid Nebraska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements as required by NDE Rule 10.
