Position Available for 2018-2019 School Year

Position Summary:
Elementary Excellennce in Youth (Gifted) Teacher - Sunset Elementary (Temporary 1-Year)
Responsible for planning, assessment and implementation of instruction in the approved District curriculum for the assigned content area.

Essential Job Functions:

• Participate in curriculum development and design for K-5 students.
• Effectively collaborate and contribute within the EY team.
• Effectively collaborate with grade level teachers at 5 elementary buildings.
• Effectively communicate with parents.
• Coordinate seminars for groups of students.
• Plan a program of study that meets the individual needs, interests, and abilities of the students.
• Monitor student progress and adjust instruction accordingly.
• Diagnose and evaluate student abilities and progress in a timely and consistent manner.

Qualifications:
Bachelors degree required. Must possess at all times during employment a valid Nebraska teaching certificate with appropriate endorsements as required by NDE Rule 10.  Endorsement in Gifted Education preferred
