Reports to: Assistant Superintendent

 

Description:

This position requires a person highly skilled in technology who can interact with employees from all areas of the District as well as external guests. This position also requires exceptional attention to detail, accuracy of data entry and quality of work product. Must have an understanding of high technical skills and competencies. Well-developed skills in written, verbal communication and technical areas and the ability to manage multiple, concurrent activities and prioritize are essential. Will be working a large part of each day with our Human Resources Information System(HRIS).

 

Essential Duties, Responsibilities:

  • Effectively communicate and collaborate/collect data and provide meaningful reports
  • Learn new technologies and apply them to solving issues and problems within an area of expertise
  • Handle multiple complex tasks concurrently with competing deadlines
  • Deal directly with employees and the public either by telephone, electronically or face-to-face
  • Perform other similar duties as necessary or assigned

 

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • Highly developed computer skills in various platforms
  • Strong analytical, problem solving, project management skills; using technology and multiple programs
  • Comprehensive technical knowledge, including programming and reporting
  • Ability to work in a fast paced and team environment
  • Ability to work with individuals across all levels of the organization
  • Ability to provide critical feedback in a professional, affirming manner as well as express specifications and/or results in writing
  • Ability to maintain workflow and meet critical deadlines
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Ability to plan out a project and see through to final execution
  • Ability to determine and correct errors in system
  • High knowledge of Microsoft Office Products including Excel required Apple computer systems and ability to work with platform system provider
  • Ability to effectively train, mentor and provide constructive feedback to team members

 

Requirements:

  • Five (5) years office or technical experience, preferred
  • Basic computer programming
  • Excellent analytical skills
  • Excellent computer skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong organization skills
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Word; high level knowledge of Excel
  • Ability to work under pressure in demanding situations
  • Creative, flexible and willing to positively adjust to ever changing environment
  • High School Diploma/GED, required
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Technology, preferred

 

Work Environment:

  • Typical office environment with usual office machines. Lifting of office supplies and other items on occasion (up to 25 lbs unassisted)
  • Required to consistently demonstrate adherence to all types of security requirements and accepted practices
